What a big day today to end our big weekend! This morning, Mark took Reese to the Tico Warbird Air Show, which is an annual event here in Titusville each March. I picked up Reese around 12:30, and Mark stayed on and had such a good time, he came home with a sunburned face!
Reese, Erik and I headed on to Universal Studios, our backyard (Nik was staying at friends'.). We had a blast!!! Reese is learning that it's possible to have fun without going wild, and I'm so proud of him. In fact, I have been REALLY proud of him with how he has opened up to Erik: when Erik first came home, Reese was NO fan of little kids. He didn't dislike little kids, or be mean to them, but he just really avoided them and was really uncomfortable around them. Fast forward to today: Reese is the best big brother in the world. He is GREAT with Erik and is so proud of him! I do believe he would do whatever it took to protect his little brother if it ever came to that. He is proud of him, and enjoys watching him open up to the world ("Look, his eyes are so big!" and imitates his "va va va" noises with such amusement and love.). He really enjoyed watching Erik explore the overwhelming park, almost like a parent. It was really nice to see. He's going to make an excellent father some day!!
Okay. Enough of the mush. Here are pictures!!

Every time I see the big planet when we enter I get all excited inside, no matter how many times we've been there!
Erik LOVES water; so much so that even to see water running out of the faucet in the bathroom when I get ready to brush his teeth he gets all excited and hands and arms really GO!! This was a fountain in City Walk. He thought it was so much fun to be surprised where the water shoots were going to come up! (Yeah, it was a windy day - look at his hair blowing!) He could have sat there all day, but we had lots more to see!

Still at City Walk, not even in the park yet!!
"Why so glum?? This is a great day!"
I LOVE my little boy!!
(please pardon my fatness...)
LOL! We had such a hard time getting Erik to look the right direction, stand UP on the platform, and keep his elbow out of my eye!!
Marmaduke was just too strong and fast for Erik - see him flying in the air holding on to his rope? (Toon Lagoon is such a fun place!)

Oh, no!! Erik spotted a fountain!!
I LOVE this one!! Reese ran over to "save" Erik from the fountain but Erik was oblivious - he was too focused on the water!! ;o)
Reese said this was one of his favorites, so I'm putting it in here. He's sure having a good time!
Where does this boy FIND all of these fountains??? He toddled right over there as soon as he spotted the spurting water - then sat down on the wet flooring!! (I remember that Nikolai used to love these fountains as well - he'd roll his w/c through them and get all wet! Once I picked him up and held him upside down while the fountains spurted up and they got him right in the head! Yes, I have pictures, thanks to Natasha who took them!)
But wait!! Sitting down wasn't near fun enough - he had to LIE down in the spray!! There were about a dozen people watching him and laughing, and then when I went over there to get him out and he kept trying to break free and head back, they really laughed! Never a dull moment!
Ah, to be 5 years old and completely oblivious!!!

Wow! Caleb would love all that water too! Praise God that Erik is your son now and gets a chance to enjoy the waterfalls!:)

Gorgeous pictures!!
You're a hoot! And you're not fat.
My mom said something recently about being fat, and my son said "Grandma, you're not fat, you're FLUFFY"
Now see...wouldn't you rather be fluffy :)
Erik is too cute. And wow, is Reece ever getting handsome, not that he wasn't before, but boy oh boy, you're going to have to beat the girls back with a stick!
Okay, I know this post was from over a year ago but it's my first time to see it. I love it. And for some reason, my eyes just filled with tears of joy to see the pics of Erik enjoying the water. How precious and innocent and completely in the moment! These could be Hal*mark cards.
