I am the proud mom to 6 kids: Natasha, 24, Nikolai, 20, Reese, 20, Maylee, 14, Erik, 10 and Violet, 7. The kids come from Russia, Ukraine and China; I'm so proud of my family sometimes I think I'll burst and I needed an outlet for it - so I've created this weblog. :o)

The weather has finally gotten beautiful enough around here (we had the coldest winter on record here - "Global Warming", kiss my patoot!) that we can start enjoying the things that we love most about FL. You've seen the Universal Studios pictures already, but this weekend we decided to take on the beach!! Our usual beach, Playalinda, was closed due to the Shuttle launch coming up on Monday (it is next door to Kennedy Space Center) so we were forced to try a new beach, which was okay because we hadn't tried any of the Melbourne places yet (I've been to Cocoa Beach several times, but it's too crowded for my taste), so we decided to try one down there, and Mark got to visit a music store specializing in horns, which made him very happy!

It was fun to visit the beach again with Erik, after having him be with us for several months now and having seen so many changes in him. He is so much more obedient now, and understands things so much better! ...some things never change, however, as you will see. ;o)

"If any chicks walk by, I'll dazzle 'em with my smile."

Erik, don't eat the sand!!

Headed out to catch some waves, after no chicks were dazzled by his smile, I guess... Turns out the water was too cold, so he mostly hung out with Erik and me.

Eriiiiiik!!! Don't eat the sand!!

Oh, sick.

Erik, you are a doll, sand or no sand! :)

Missy, I read your comment on taking a break from RR. I know exactly what you mean. Lately, I just do my blog and am a constant visitor to a couple of others, and occasionally visit other places too. I could end up spending my day on the computer. AND I dont' even have my girls home and found myself trying to find a way to start another adoption! I know that isn't what is right for my girls or my family... but my heart just gets pulled so hard.

Erik is looking SOOO wonderful! :) Must be all the homecooking and fresh air... oh and LOVE! :)

Hi Missy! Erik is, once again, too cute for words. We HAVE to get our two Ukrainian muffins together one day. (Bella LOVES the ocean too!)

Also, I am with you on taking a break from the internet. I, too, am only reading a few blogs (like yours) :) and needed to focus on my family time.

Love you.....Paula
