Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted
according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or
slow to do the humble work.

I am the proud mom to 6 kids: Natasha, 24, Nikolai, 20, Reese, 20, Maylee, 14, Erik, 10 and Violet, 7. The kids come from Russia, Ukraine and China; I'm so proud of my family sometimes I think I'll burst and I needed an outlet for it - so I've created this weblog. :o)

Today was nice and relaxing.  No ports today, so we just hung out and did "whatever" on the ship all day.  I went to a scrapbooking class which turned out to be nothing, listened to 2 lectures on our ports for the next 3 days and learned how to and what to buy when we are in Turkey in a couple of days.

We ate lunch at "Johnny Rockets" which was a personal favorite for each of us - ate WAY too much - I can feel my arteries clogging as I write this...

My favorite picture.  He was determined to finish the whole thing!  (It may not look too big, but it was HUGE.)

Reese had fun on the Sports Deck - he won in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and came close to winning in a Table Tennis tournament - he went into 7 overtimes with a Chinese kid his own age - it was super exciting!
His opponent was VERY good at table tennis, and also a really nice kid!  He and Reese were quite the buddies after this game.

Tonight is formal night, and wouldn't you know it??  I forgot my formal shoes!!  I am NOT into shoes, and it took forever for me to find THE pair of shoes for the trip, but I did it!  ...and I forgot them at home.  So... I'll be wearing my red Crocs flip-flops, if you can believe it!!  The ONLY reason this has a tiny chance of working is because my outfit has lots of bright colors, including red.  UGH!!  (Nope - you don't get to see a picture!!)

Well, we survived dinner.  I wore my Crocs, and we sat at a table for 10 (unlike our normal table for 2 with our favorite wait staff) with 6 people too snooty to talk to us, and an ex-cop who wouldn't STOP talking to us.  Service was slow, the food was good, and we survived.  I'm turning in early, but Reese will take in the night life, per his usual, and we'll be up early tomorrow to visit Athens!!  :o)

If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day, go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.
