After waiting for an hour for the prosecutor (whom I swear looked either drunk or hungover), we had court today! Everything went very smoothly - no problems, no hard questions, no issues of any kind! YAY!! IT'S OVER!!!

Afterward, Mark and I went to our favorite bakery and bought a little cake. When we got home and bit into it, it was like a rum cake or something - had a very strong liquor flavor, but it also had almonds hidden in it, and creamy stuff, and other unidentifyable things. It was quite good!

Now, a disclaimer to satisfy my husband and my son Reese: In the picture of the two of us below, I am NOT showing as much cleavage as it looks and that is NOT my bra in the picture - it is a white "underblouse" thingie. I know I'm going to get a comment from my brother about this picture so I thought I'd beat him to the punch. And Reese, don't worry, I'll put a sticker on my "line" when it's scrapbook time. ;o)

Here we are (above) after court. Mark had on a black suit jacket, but he was so hot he "lost" it and it didn't make it back on for the picture. We are in our apartment and I used my timer for the picture.

Here he is with our yummy alcohol cake. ;o)

And here he is again, this time with is three favorite things: 1) Coffee 2) Big bottle of water and 3) packaged cookies from the bakery (they are delicious!!!). I couldn't resist getting this picture!

I happen to thinks its a nice picture of us. It was SO HOT with the suit jacket on - which is why i look like a washed out dish rag. But - it went so smoothly. I do love those three things, but there is more. I love the potato's at Da Vinci's, and more than anything - I love my really amazing wife and our kids, and our new little boy. Can't leave out the dogs too. Please pray for Missy to have a SAFE flight back home. I actually really like Ukraine. It's much different in the summer I'm sure. We have access to so much here. Can't understand anyone, but at least we can smile and shake our head up and down - and sometimes laugh at the right time. LOL

I left Missy as the train slowly chugged into the mist of the night. Sounds like a dang novel, but - I feel so alone now. She is the light of my life, my sunshine, and a true to life angel. I can only take solace in knowing that it's one day closer to bringing little Erik home. MA - please give her big hugs from me when you pick her up at the airport. I actually think the apartment grew in size - and the celing is 10 feet higher now. Ok - I'll snap out of it. What an amazing woman Missy is. I am so blessed and fortunate to have her in my life. Ok - no more mushy stuff... Thank you all for your love and prayers. It has been 110% worth it all.

Congrats! That apartment looks familiar. Does it have a kids room decorated in a monkey jungle theme?

Yes it does.. HAHAHA... It's really cute... :0 You've been here then? LOL... It is so comfortable - OTHER than the fact that my best half is now gone. By the way - Christine - looking at strollers here really blow me away. I can't believe how EXPENSIVE they are. We were planning on leaving then coming back over after the 10 days were up. But - hopefully I can find a slightly used one. Missy and I saw one here in the market for about 4500 grivnas... WOW... How do people afford that over here?? Anyhow - God is AWESOME... Erik is our son. Praise God ! ! ! ! !

Mark and Missy Congratulations on your new son! I had to laugh your prosecutor sounded like the same one we had for our girls. When they see his picture they still giggle about his "funny" behavior. Mark I can relate to that empty feeling when your other half leaves. Soon you will all be together at home. Praying for that to happen soon. Rhonda
